2014 Short Film Production
“Back to Country” was shot on location at Terry Hie Hie and surrounding areas during a 2 day meeting on Gamillaroi traditional lands.
“Back to Country” focused on issues surrounding the need for the local men to regain control of their community and family life through learning and understanding.
These meetings not only address cultural issues and provide a forum for learning but they also provide a forum for men’s health issues to be discussed.
Country Men’s Health is an issue that needs the wider communities attention.
2018 Update
Back to Country will be developed by Blackwattle Community Creative as a series of short films focusing on Indigenous Issues.
